Scent From Earth
“The creation of the “Scent from Earth” series was driven by a deep appreciation for our planet and a desire to explore its wonders. With this in mind, I carefully crafted six unique scents that I believe will evoke fond memories for every individual.
Our sense of smell can serve both practical and emotional purposes. The experience of smelling something for the first time can be incredibly impactful and memorable, it can have a profound impact on your emotions and memories, and can create a lasting impression that is difficult to forget. The connection between the sense of smell and the limbic system, which processes emotions and memories, means that scents can trigger deeply ingrained and automatic emotional responses, often unconscious and beyond our control. The purpose of these scents is not only to delight the senses, but also to stimulate the mind. By experiencing these scents, you can embark on a sensory journey that will exercise your brain and awaken your imagination. So, take a deep breath and allow the scents of “Scent from Earth” to transport you to some of the most beautiful and cherished moments in nature.
“Scent From Earth” contains 6 earthly smells, that most of us have smelled some, if not all of, depending on where we live on planet earth. Designed to engage your sense of smell, these unique and evocative scents are also meant to bring calm and perhaps even soothe you. Created for you to explore and have fun with! Solo or with a group. Write down your associations, feelings, memories, colors…..anything that comes to mind – there is no right or wrong.
These scents also serve as a reminder of the delicate balance between the environment and the organisms that inhabit it – grass needs rain – in balance! I stand for taking care of the beauty and majesty of nature and our planet!” – Susan Ankersen
